Namitha recently declared that she was against getting married.
Namitha on being choosy: "I don't want to name any films, but there were times when I was told that my role was a good one and had great scope, but nothing like that happened when I went for the shoot. Later, I was informed that my scenes were postponed to the next schedule, but I never heard from them again. In three consequent films that came my way, I had only a few scenes to do and an item song. I don't want that to happen again and that's why I'm very choosy. Being in the industry for seven years now, I've become extremely selfish when it comes to my role in a film. If I get a good role, yes, I would pair up with top heroes."
In 2010, an attempt to kidnap Namitha was foiled in Tiruchirapalli.
She has modeled for Himani cream, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutka, and Nile herbal shampoo.
"I have tremendous faith in my acting capabilities. Why worry when people are ready to identify me and recognize me? I never feel insecure," says Namitha.
Namitha has a temple in her name near Tirunelveli district.
Namitha is an ardent lover of nature and likes to travel.
Namitha on being a glam diva: "I am happy to have genuine fans who wants to see me in best of roles. They advise me sometimes about the type of roles I should do. Many of my fans say that I should not do away with my glamorous image. I know that glamour is my selling point and I have decided to stick to my sexy image and please my fans."
