Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is travelling outside of the capital Rangoon for the first time since her release from house arrest last year. She is visiting the ancient temple city of Bagan with her son Kim Aris, who described the trip as a holiday.

Otto von Habsburg, the oldest son of Austria-Hungary's last emperor Charles I, has died at the age of 98. Von Habsburg, who was the long-time figurehead of one of Europe's most influential families, passed away in his sleep at his home in Poecking, Germany where he had lived in exile since the 1950s.

William and Catherine in Canada

Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge are continuing their visit to Canada, their first official overseas trip since they married in April. On Sunday the royal couple visited Quebec, where they attended a ceremony to honour honour Canada's Royal 22nd Regiment.
