Meet the crazy, sexy, cool icon of Bollywood. Love him or hate him you surely can't ignore Salman Khan or his socio-environmental call. He is one believer in the phrase "Burn fat not fuel" and is a self-styled spokesperson for an alternative to automobile travel.
And what better way to do that than cycle? In February 2010, Sallu kicked off Mumbai's first cyclothon as part of his "Being Human" Foundation's effort. The event, in which Khan and other celebrities participated in, was designed to promote cycling as an alternative to automobile travel. The environment is one of Khan's big concerns; nothing could really be more human or humane.
Salman is no stranger to cycling, this is something he's been doing even while learning to walk, and he owns several professional bikes that he uses to get around the city. People have often seen Salman cycling from his Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra to location shoots at Film City in Goregaon.
